Laser skin resurfacing has many benefits, whether it’s changing skin quality, tone, and texture to the development of blemishes. Tetra CO2 laser skin resurfacing is the gold standard in treating acne scars, fine lines/wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sun spots, stretch marks, and more. In the past, the recovery time associated with Co2 laser treatments made it seem like more trouble than it was worth. That’s not the case anymore with the Tetra CoolPeel CO2 laser.
Using this unique and highly versatile device, you can achieve high levels of skin resurfacing in as little as three days! We offer customized skincare treatments for individuals based on their skin type, goals, and desired downtime so that you can return to work the next day! Whether you are looking for a CoolPeel® with minimal downtime, a treatment for the delicate area around the eyes for those pesky concealer lines, or a one-week surface ablation of wrinkles and anti-aging, we at Fierce have you covered!
CoolPeel is unique and revolutionary in that you can achieve results similar to classic CO2 lasers with little or no downtime. It’s essentially like doing a low downtime laser-like Clear + Brilliant, but with amazing results more in line with more advanced lasers like CO2, Fraxel, or Halo.
How It Works
Using an ultrashort pulse or dwell time, it can be used as a fully ablative or fractionally ablative treatment. Essentially the energy can be delivered quickly to the skin without leading to a lot of thermal spread, which leads to the traditional protracted redness after laser resurfacing. Unlike many CO2 lasers, CoolPeel allows the practitioner to have total control of the depth of resurfacing. This treatment works well for those looking for gentle correction and those in need of more aggressive treatment. We use it here at Fierce to treat brown spots, melasma, acne scarring, and fine lines/crepey skin. Sarah loves it because of the ability to increase the power to be more aggressive if the patient has deeper wrinkles and sun damage for a more dramatic improvement.
Who Is It For
For patients wanting to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, or just needing skin tightening- CoolPeel is your facial. We use it daily for light exfoliation on all skin types. This treatment is a skin-changer. CoolPeel is one of our top favorite treatments, and we love pairing it with our radiofrequency microneedling. We call it the ultimate duo, another low downtime procedure, yielding amazing skin results. It is our most popular laser treatment for achieving glowing skin.
CO2 fractional resurfacing removes deep layers of damaged skin with a carbon dioxide laser, stimulating the regrowth of healthy skin underneath. CO2 can be used to treat fine to moderately deep wrinkles, photo damage, scarring, skin tone, texture, crepiness, and laxity.
During the healing process, which may take up to 3 weeks, patients may experience a period when their skin appears slightly pink. Your skin texture and tone will improve during this time. Once the skin has healed completely, the full results can be seen within 3-6 months after the initial treatment.
The effects of CO2 laser treatment can be seen for many years afterward. You can prolong results by using SPF+ daily, avoiding sun exposure, and maintaining your skincare at home.
Using a CoolPeel has the benefit of minimal downtime. Initially, you may seem a little red, as if you had a sunburn for a day or two, but there is nothing to prevent you from going about your normal daily activities.
